Are you making the most of your Guest WiFi?
When customers are on your premises, connected to your wireless network, it gives you the chance to create a new relationship with them and even to give them better customer service. Through your Wi-Fi network, you can track their locations within your venue, observe their behaviour, and deliver special offers or promotions to them, while they’re right there.
The first step, as always, is to get the basic infrastructure right, to give you reliable WiFi coverage throughout your venue. Then it's relatively easy to add guest services, such as a simple branded on-boarding portal, so guests can log onto to your WiFi using their social media credentials. This immediately gives you access to demographic information about your customer, tells you whether they're a new or repeat visitor, and gives you information such as dwell-time in the venue. You can proactively use this information in your marketing.
Adding Location Services gives you the ability to track Guest wireless devices as they move around your premises. You can define areas within your venue, and analyse how long different types of guest spend in each area. Accuracy to within one metre is possible using the latest Hyper-location access points - accurate enough to test the effectiveness of different venue layouts and point-of-sale materials.
